What are some good magazines about writing and publishing manuscripts?

I was wondering which magazines are good for teens that have writing tips and places to get your writing published besides the magazine Teen Ink. I’m looking for magazines that have writing tips, samples, exercises, publishing company names/suggestions, poetry, and short stories. Something along those lines.

Writers Digest is pretty good. http://www.writersdigest.com/GeneralMenu/
Good luck. Hope you find one you like!

You might want to join a writer’s group or a club. If you live in Canada and want to write for children an example is CANSCAIP; Canadian Society of Children’s Authors, Illustrators and Performers. It’s around $30 to join and you receive all the benefits and privileges including receiving their bi-monthly magazine which is full of tips and a section listing current publishers, what they are looking for and how to submit.

Another avenue is to join writersbbs, it’s free and legitimate, the do not solicit you nor do they circulate your email address. Once you have joined you can select the genre of your choice for example fantasy/sci fi writing, poetry and so on. You can ask questions, give answers and post some of your work to be critiqued by others interested in your genre.
