This will help to keep the ink from fading or transfering off the paper as well as protect the paper types.

As you know paper was milled very diffrent in the 30&#039;s than today. In fact even in the 70&#039;s paper was milled different.

Ink also is a factor. Ink pigments are made with materials we do not put in inks anymore. Because of environment or health issues.
