What shrubs can I grow in a pot indoors? I see pictures of them in home magazines but am unsure what they are

The Lavendar Shrub is pretty and easy to grow inside. Here are some others as well:

- Scrub Palmetto, Sabal etonia
- Weeping Fig Ficus benjamina: one of the hardiest of the indoor plants

Also, certain plants are excellent in ridding the air of pollutants and toxins. Plants that rate highly as an indoor purifier include: Chinese evergreen, Areca palm, Reed palm, Dwarf date palm, Boston fern, Janet Craig dracaena, English ivy, Australian sword fern, Peace Lily and Rubber plant (in adition to the ones I listed above).
