First, stop calling it ‘high fashion’, you sound silly. Vogue is close to what you are looking for, as is Gentlemans Quarterly which is more of a lifestyle magazine but does have a style section. Your European fashion magazines are less common in America or Australia as you americans are so tardy. Stern is a good German fashion monthly too. You sound like you’re trying to describe Vogue, and please, stop calling it ‘high fashion’

you can't really get any. because all magazine subscription amounts are already set to a specific amount. but sometimes, it also depends, like say, there's a special holiday or something. they give a special offer. so it's kinda all about perfect timing on magazines.

Many arrive a couple of months early. I doubt that any arrive normally at the end of the month with which they are dated. I think one girl bought a March issue of "Muscle & Fitness" in December or January.

Ordinarily it should be the beginning of the month. If you get it at the end of the month, it's already old news. Sometimes you may even get it before the issue month. For example, if it's a February issue, you could get it as early as the 3rd week of January.

personally i dont like cd japan and yesasia cdjapan takes forever to ship and shipping rates are insane ! and yesasia is WAY overpriced on magazines 15-16$ each +shipping. amazon.com also sells japanese magazines but you have to buy one full year it goes from 150$ to 200$ a year ( its quite pricy to pay in one time)
to order online i prefer http://www.myjpop.com because i pay only 6$ to 9$ per magazine .

the best is if you buy it in store directly . i dont know where you are in UK but there is 2 japanese book store asahiya and kinokuniya .both are in london .

also all the japanese fashion magazines are published in japanese and chinese but they dont have any english version yet .
only jpop and visual kei magazines like cure or purple sky are published in english .

if you are into japanese fashion a lot and want advice or translation for those magazines you should try this forum http://ricoche.net/ ( people are really nice and friendly , and also very helpfull when it comes to give you advice on how to look more japanese or pull out a japanese style )

I am Chinese, but I have some Japanese friends. Some of them order DVDs, CDs, magazines, books, clothing, souvenirs, etc. from the CDJapan website in Tokyo. They also buy magazines, books and movies from Kinokuniya Bookstores. Check for one in your area. YesAsia website might have some.

Keep track of the conformations and don't spend the money on the card for anything else. Magazine subscriptions are slow. I pay for all of mine by check and sometimes it's 8 to 10 weeks before the cash my checks.

to be honest with you, shonen jump out ranks basically all other magazines ,
but i also heard Beckett have a few good ones

uhmm cause shonen is the only one that i can remember doing more than 1 anime and talking about others, while having manga in it

but theyres also megami magazine, you could try that one
