How much do National Geographic magazines in mint condition go for?

Posted on October 11th, 2010 by admin in magazines | 1 Comment »

I have every issue from 1971 to 2006 boxed and in mint condition. Plus, I have every issue from 2007 until today, minus the boxes. How much do you think these magazines will go from if I sell them online or to a collector.
We have 468 magazines and 70 boxes.

Id say mostly depends on the buyer but here is a link to a site of people just like you trying to sell them maybe it will help.NGSC

What are some fashion magazines that I can submit my work to?

Posted on October 9th, 2010 by admin in magazines | 3 Comments »

I’m an amateur photographer, but I know of 2 magazines that will accept work from amateurs. I was wondering if anyone knew of some magazines that I could submit my photography too. I’d prefer fashion magazines, they don’t have to be top magazines. Just something simple. Thanks!

VOGUE! A long time ago people would submit stories to Vogue just to get their writing career started. I’m sure some things have changed but they are a company that has been around forever and a great magazine especially for fashion.

What magazines are best for making a thinspo book, and where can I get them?

Posted on October 6th, 2010 by admin in magazines | 1 Comment »

It’s not really an option to be buying magazines, and I was wondering where I could get some free fashion magazines and modeling magazines. Even if I couldn’t tear out pages, does the library have magazines?

You can get old magazines from doctor’s offices, hospitals, nursing homes, schools, and at rummage sales. You can probably get them free from those places if you just ask. Yes, libraries have magazines also.

How do retailers achieve coverage of their products in fashion magazines?

Posted on July 2nd, 2010 by admin in magazines | 1 Comment »

How do fashion retailers place their items in magazine features? What costs are involved? Do magazines source the products themselves or do the retailers contact magazines if they want their products to be featured? If someone could help me that would be great!

Write to the fashion editor of the magazine and let he/she know that you are willing to offer your assistance in product supply. Mention to whar extent you are willing to bear the cost (incase tha products are out of therange you may have) Some times the Magazine might even sell you the credit line for a cost without even supplying the items. If you really have something of value to the Magazines readership, it may even commission their own team ro cover it. You may also invest in high resolution, quality art photographs of you merchandise. If rge art is good the magazine’s Design Head may use it.

What are some magazines that would accept articles about how to buy/sell on ebay?

Posted on May 27th, 2010 by admin in magazines | 1 Comment »

For my journalism class, I wrote an article detailing how to get started and buy/sell things on ebay. The professor liked it and said I should try to sell it to a magazine.

What are some magazines that would run this type of article? Any and all suggestions are appreciated!

I am a powerseller on eBay.
When I saw your question I sat up straight in my seat. I had wrote a similar article and sold 100+ electronic version of this publication at $5 each and I stop selling when eBay made some changes to fees structure in April this year. I am now ready with an advance version for people who are already selling on eBay but want to do it better but this time I place it on my blog. If you are talking about hard copies of magazine you should do targetted. I meant, create copies of e.g. How to sell sports equipment on eBay, How to sell antiques on eBay etc. Appraoch some up and comming sports magazine or antique magazine etc. You can advertise your work on electronic on-line magazine like ezine, social network like facebook etc. Do use your imagination and keep an open mind.

I am at eBay as mart-1company and my blog:www.mart-1.com which should give you some ideas.
If you wish to write to me further you may post a reply to me at my blog on a similar related article.
Wish you great success in your publications too.

How would I put magazines on my wall without damaging them?

Posted on May 12th, 2010 by admin in magazines | 4 Comments »

I would like to somehow put my NYLON magazines on my wall without damaging them. And I do not just want the covers– I could never tear them off! So I know this is a strange question, but how exactly would I do that?
Thanks.<3
I mean damaging my magazines, not my walls.

Try using rubber cement, it’s a temporary adhesive just thinly place it on one side and carefully stick them to the wall. you can peel them off after, both from the wall and the magazine. Elmer’s make rubber cement that’s what I bought but if you want a bigger bottle there’s Yes paste.
