What is the cheapest place to buy a subscription to the New Yorker magazine? Obviously, going direct will be much more expensive, and I have heard that you can get it very cheap on some of these websites. Which site is cheap and honest, and won’t steal my money and never give me my New Yorker subscription?

A few years ago I saw on Ebay that you coudl subscribe to pretty much any magazine out there for next to nothing. It was because the publishers wanted to you have you on their subscribers list, that way they could charge advertisers more. (the cost of the magazine really didn’t factor in as long as they made more on you as a subscriber). I subscribed to Blender for 4 years for (get this) $2! I also added in a year’s worth of Playboy for $5 I believe. I just checked and saw that there’s hardly any more of these for sale on Ebay…anybody know why? Was it because the publishers stopped allowing this?
