Magazine Subscriptions?

Posted on August 24th, 2011 by admin in magazine subscriptions | 4 Comments »

I want to order SEVENTEEN magazine i have the subscription order form thing, and i want to enclose my check , should i put it in an envelope and staple it behind the form-card because it says no postage needed or should i just put the card in the envelope with the money inside as well? and do they accept cash?

They give you the postage paid card to order the magazine and to be "Billed Later". When you pay later, you will have to pay the postage. Just a thought, have you checked the site below with this low, low subscription price, you could order it on-line if this is cheaper. Good Luck!

The previous owner of my house moved out and left quite a few Man Myth and Magic magazines and a few spell books, what is the proper way of disposing without harming myself family or anyone else?

Books cannot cause you harm. Go ahead and sell or donate them to a used bookstore. Someone will appreciate them!

What magazine subscriptions exist for elementary aged kids?

Posted on August 18th, 2011 by admin in magazine subscriptions | 6 Comments »

My son loves getting mail and I was thinking of adding a subscription for him. The only ones I can think of are: NatGeo Kids, Highlights, Boys Quest/Hopscotch.

Any others? He’s 5, so I’m kind of looking at the 6+ category so he’s not bored with it.

We recently got Ask (arts & science) for the kids. We have yet to receive an issue, but for any of those published by Carus, you can preview a PDF of the magazine before buying, which is what I based the purchase on. Also, use code N401 if you buy from their website and you’ll get $9 off.

We were receiving one of their other publications last year which had a more literary basis: Ladybug. I wasn’t too thrilled with it. It was just kind of… trite, dumbed-down, annoying. The kids didn’t seem overly fond of it either and there was only one issue that got repeat reads with one particularly good story. We got it for a year and didn’t renew. Spider may be a little better, but we’ve only gotten one trial issue of it. I thought it was better suited for both my girls who were 2 and 4 at the time. I used to love Cricket, and will probably give it a try in a few years.

Their non-fiction ones look good from the previews on the Carus site and get good reviews on Amazon — which, by the way, is a another good resource for figuring out which one to get. I think NatGeo Kids got pretty low marks, for example, which is why I didn’t bother with it.

Where can I find some online fashion magazines or catalogs?

Posted on August 15th, 2011 by admin in fashion magazines | 1 Comment »

I’m looking for an online website/s that I can browse fashion magazines/catalogs or a website that has something similar to this set up. I want to keep up to date with style but cannot afford to purchase an array of magazines just for one read. Thanks

How do i cancel a seventeen magazine subscription even if i dont have the account number?

Posted on August 13th, 2011 by admin in magazine subscription | 3 Comments »

i dont even know how., but apparently i have a subscription to seventeen magazine, that i dont want, and i lost the account number and it wont accept any other info. to login… what should i do?

You have to email their customer support line and give them all of the information that would appear on the magazine like your name and address. If they can’t fix it before the first magazine ships out, they should compensate you somehow, an if they don’t, ask them too :)

Are there any websites that you can buy magazine subscriptions online (and read the magazines online)?

Posted on August 11th, 2011 by admin in magazines subscriptions | 2 Comments »

What are the best ones? I am talking about celeb magazines like J-14, Bop, Tiger Beat, Twist, Popstar or M. Thanks and no rude answers.

Why buy to view a magazine online, when there are free ones like:

The best Travel site Great Vacation Spots http://www.greatvacationspots.net

What is a good magazine for a college student to read regarding finance and money?

Posted on August 9th, 2011 by admin in magazine | 5 Comments »

I am looking to subscribe to a magazine to make me more aware of global markets, investments, reitrement, savings, etc. I don’t want a magazine that is too complex because currently, I have student loans and can’t invest a whole lot. I just want good basic money tips. I have looked at Kiplinger Personal Finance Magazine, Money Magazine, Smart Money Magazine…Any suggestions for a good finance/money magazine for a 20 year old?? THANKS!!

I like lots of those mentioned above esp. WSJ. I also like Barrons.
