I buy the News Of The World newspaper just to get the ‘Fabulous’ fashion magazine inside to put on my wall. Because the paper is about to stop running, does anyone know of some fashion magazines like Fabulous that would be some kind of a substitute.

I’m hunting around for some weightloss help and in the past, reading fitness and weightloss magazines have really helped me. I used to have a subscription before I forgot to renew it and thus got fat again, and I cannot recall the name of it. Any suggestions as to which magazine would be my best choice? Thanks!

There are a lot of good choices in fitness/weight loss magazines. Some best-sellers/most popular are: Women’s Health, Weight Watchers, Shape, Oxygen, Fitness and Health.

My personal fave is Health magazine.

I’m interested in working for a magazine, but i don’t know what different types of jobs they offer, or need. Magazines like Cosmo, people, in-style, seventeen.

If thats doesn’t make sense, what college majors would be helpful to eventually work in the magazine field?

Editor-in-chief – runs the magazine and makes final decisions
Writer – writes articles or features for the magazines, and in some cases conducts interviews
Researcher – researches information needed for the magazine
Sub-editor – edits all articles once they have been written and designed
Designer – designs the layout of magazine pages

I am struggling to pay for college this fall. I write short stories and poetry and am currently trying to edit some of my best stuff to submit to magazines.

I know about Cicada magazine and they are on my list.

I have written fantasy, young adult, children’s, comedy, drama, horror, steampunk, and surrealist, among a handful of other genres, so I am pretty open as far as market is concerned.

So, I’d really like to order a one year subscription of Seventeen Magazine, but it’s already June. What I want to know is: if I order the subscription now, is it only good until December of this year, or June of next year? Is the subscription only good for 2011, or will it actually extend for the full 12 issues since I place my order? I’m sorry if this seems like a stupid question, but no one here seems to know. Are all magazines like this? Thanks so much!

Am looking for some cheap The economist magazines. It doesn’t matter how old they are or which issue it is. I don’t want to get a subscription because I need them now. Ive never bought magazines or newspapers so am kinda clueless on this. Anyone have any suggestions?
