Want to put my home on lists to be used for ads, magazines, photos, films, etc.?
I know there are some lists but dont know how I go about getting my home on the list.
Does anyone know how to do this? Anyone have experience doing this? If so, give me the pros and cons.
What is so special about the home? Is it historic? National Historic Registry or there is probably a local/state registry. Is it well decorated? Try submitting pics to an interior design or architectural magazine. You could also contact local marketing or PR firms. They might have a need for photos for a project.
What do you think fashion magazines and style magazines do to teenage minds?
I read a lot of fashion magazines, and always after I finish one I get the urge to go out shopping and buy some things. a lot of people say "it helps people become mentally healthier and boost their confidence because they realize that they have some of the things these wonderful models wear" (I have the things, at a lower price though.) and others say "it messes with their brain, now they are going to have low self esteem and try and compare themselves with models that are computerized." opinions?
I can agree with both sides. It does boost my confidence when I see something in magazines that I already had/have. It makes you think, "Awesome, I could be the next Trendsetter!" Although, it can cause a low self-esteem as well. That is if the magazines only showcase models in one distinct shape. That’s why I look through magazines that list different body shapes, so you can see exactly what clothes will flaunt your figure to perfection.
How has representation of women in fashion magazines changed over the past five years?
I’m doing media coursework on representation of women in fashion magazines and how its changed. It would really help and be much appreciated if I got your views or anything helpful that you may have from the internet or books!
I did a project on something similar about ahem 20 odd years ago looking at how women were represented in French and English magazines. I got a French and English version of Elle and Cosmopolitan and looked at how women were portrayed in advertisements and found that the women in French magazines seemed to be shown to be more suppliant, smiling inanely for no reason, heads tilted etc. Would be interesting to see if this has differed since.
Is this how magazine subscriptions work?
I’m going to subscribe to Teen Ink’s magazine which is released in the beginning of each month. If I get a 10 month subscription and since January’s issue was already released, would the payment start with February’s issue?
it will b back dated
where on the net do you get subscriptions to japanese magazines?
just curious because I want to learn to write and read japanese
personally i tend to avoid subscription because they are monthly and the shipping can be expensive , not to mention you have to pay the whole year at once .
if you are interrested to buy japanese magazines you can try http://myjpop.com/jpop-myjpop-japanese-music.html ( they have fashion magazine, music magazines , figure , anime related and manga related magazines )
they also combine shipping if you order more than one magazine . when i order from them i always receive my magazines within a few days .
this is their facebook page http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/MY-JPOP-COM/124191400953715
Why I am receiving a magazine subscription I did not authorize?
I am receiving issues of Men’s Health magazine, which I did NOT order. It is in my name and the account number shows that it is a 1 year subscription. Perhaps a marketing ploy…or credit card fraud?
no…I wouldnt say so.
Keep an eye on this developing issue.
Often, when Credit Card numbers have been lifted (from your computer or a compromised 3rd party where it was stolen), the perps send out a small transaction to see if you’re on the ball (watching your charges) and if the card numbers actually work.
I’d call the CCard company and have them put a watch on the account for unusual charges.
ADDED: I came across this article…maybe related (see the 2nd paragraph):

Where can I buy magazine subscriptions cheap?
I would like to subscribe to different types of magazines, but I don’t want to break the bank. Does anyone know where I could buy 3-5 magazine subscriptions for a good price? I would like to purchase from reputable online sources only please.
For Canadian and worldwide subscriptions, the best source would be:

Has anyone ever ordered a magazine subscription from rite price magazines? It is super cheap. Is it a scam?
I found a VERY cheap magazine subscription on rite price magazines. It is only about one third of the price to subscribe on the actual website. I just don’t want to get scammed. Has anyone ordered anything from Rite Price Magazines??
DO NOT TRUST THEM
i’ve recently gotten scammed of my money by those VERY SAME PEOPLE!
they also asked me for a donation to help provide education to those in Nigeria who are less fortunate.. that was part of their scam as well.
WHAT HAPPENED TO THE INTEGRITY POLICY?!
How do I send a prison inmate a magazine subscription?
My uncle is an inmate at Algoa. How can I send him a magazine subscription? I know that you can do this, I just am not sure how. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
I would assume you just make the subscription send-to address as his prison inmate mail address, so long as the prison allows magazines.

Does anyone know the name of the warehouse in Aston that allows you to pack magazines at home please.?
I want a job that allows me to stay at home like packing magazines e.t.c
I do not believe such jobs exist anymore .. there are (of course) many scam artists, con-merchants and fraudsters who will tell you different (although you will have to send them a ‘joining fee’ or ‘deposit’ to find out if they are telling the truth)
There MAY have been a time (1960’s ??) when mechanical packing equipment was so expensive that it was cheaper to employ home workers to pack the items …
However minimium wage legislation, reductions in computerised robotic machinery costs (and, of course, the cost of capital i.e. the interest rate) together with the cost of shipping in bulk to houses and picking them up again make this a ‘non-starter’ in any non-3rd world country.
Letters (especially junk mail) and magazines are all auto-packed and addressed by machinery these days.
The only packing jobs that still exist are in warehouses – and even there I expect humans are involved only at the end of the ‘picking’ system (see TV programs about food packing for the Supermarkets on-line shopping delivery systems or the automated storage and book picking systems used by Amazon) ..
The fact is, in the west, machinery is a LOT cheaper, more reliable, and accurate than people ….. (plus, of course, machinery doesn’t demand triple time and days off in-lieu just because it’s a Xmas
)
