I am currently studying graphic design at university and I would like to start reading a good graphic design magazine.

I’ve heard that wallpaper and print are good? I would ideally like something that shows up and coming graphic designs/designers.

I love Computer Arts, it is more based on illustration within Graphic design but it is inspiring and comes with tutorials, has your uni not got a magazine selection for students, most good unis will have and if they havent I would have a word with your tutor as there should be funding available for literature

Where can I find the best websites for saving cash? Specifically looking to purchase things like magazines or electronics etc for a good price so I can keep saving cash for the holidays. Ive dug around many coupon sites online and all they offer is useless piles of coupons which half do not even work. So im searching for a real discount website which is able to help me in saving cash for the long run. The website should have many different categories as well since I do not only shop for one item online. Thank you.

Personally, I think it depends on what kind of stuff you are into. For example, I was at a kiddie soccer match today and saw that the gentleman sitting next to me was reading – of all things – a gardening magazine! I had never seen that before.

Anyway, if you are interested, I subscribe to Consumer Reports. When flying, I always buy the following magazines: Redbook, US, People, Ladie’s Home Journal and Shape.

I have a growing collection of magazines from the 30’s-70’s. I like to look thru them and want to keep them accessible but safe from damage. Any ideas?

Might I suggest acid free paper or plastic sleeves used for photos. You can buy them at photography shops, hobby stores and craft stores

This will help to keep the ink from fading or transfering off the paper as well as protect the paper types.

As you know paper was milled very diffrent in the 30’s than today. In fact even in the 70’s paper was milled different.

Ink also is a factor. Ink pigments are made with materials we do not put in inks anymore. Because of environment or health issues.

Then If you can after you put them in the sleeves try to put them in a rubbermaid plastic tub instead of a cardboard box.

Do you ever follow the advice given to you in those pages? I mean in this month’s issue of "Glamour" magazine P.169-176, there is an article on "The best skirt for your shape." Suggestions, pictures and explanations are given to match your body type to find the right skirt that is the right length, and many hints to find that perfect skirt.

Do many women on this web site use these magazines as fashion guides are do you just ask the fashion question for a quicker response?

I’m only 14… but the magazines I read have things like that. Sometimes I follow there suggestions, but if it is a piece of clothing I don’t like, such as highwaisted pants =P, then I don’t bother.

i entered this college sweepstakes on seventeen.com and it wouldnt let me enter without subscribing. BUT it said i could still enter, get a free trial magazine, and still be eligible to win but theyll send me a bill. how do i unsubscribe. they sent me a bill through mail so wat do i do with tht bill? ive herd to just write cancel on the bill and send it in to cancel the subscription. is tht it or shud i do more??

Sending the bill marked "cancel" would do it but if you want to cancel immediately then you can do it online. Follow these steps:

1. Go to seventeen.com

3. Choose "Cancel Subscription", it’s the last menu.

Is there a way to see them on the net? I know that there are laws against publishing them in the UK but as they were published in another countries magazine, would it be possible to go to that mags database to see them?

Perhaps if you try non-UK search engines (i.e. not .co.uk ones) like google.com, altavista.com etc. and maybe a few non-English language ones. They might give you the link you need.

You know how like pacsun has the pacloot and sometimes in magazines they give you coupons for aeropostale or american eagle… do they have any coupons for hollister? Or does hollister give out such a thing like that?

You should probably just join their emailing list. Then they will send you upcoming promotions and sales. I’m not sure if they ever give coupons, but I know they have clearence. The clearence is usually really cheap.
