Posted on October 28th, 2009 by admin in discount magazines | 2 Comments »

I am selling all kinds of magazines at discount for school. I was wondering if anyone could give me advice on where to sell at… Also if any of you were interested.
I am trying to raise money for our asb thats all

Go to your parents and ask them to take the catalogues to work to show their friends. Then go to your aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. Then go to friends around the neighborhood. Then if you don’t have enough orders, go to local pharmacies, beauty salons, nail salons, and anywhere where there’s people waiting. Those shops need something to keep their customers busy until they can help them.

Recently in the taste of home magazine there was a recipe for chicken spinach lasagna. It used a rotissiere chicken, feta cheese, mozzerela, ricotta etc. Anyone have that recipe?

I have found several recipes for you to take a look.

Also, is there any way to get great rates for international fashion magazines? They are so darn expensive!

Are these people who come to your front door selling magazine subscriptions legitimate?

Posted on October 28th, 2009 by admin in magazine subscriptions | 5 Comments »

They seem to be legitimate and sell these magazines to further their education and/or better themselves. Scam?

The only ones which are legitimate are students representing their school. These are NOT scams and they are doing this for ’special’ things for their school. Listen to them next time and they will tell you what they are for…..

Do you read or have subscriptions to any Tennis magazines?

Posted on October 28th, 2009 by admin in magazines subscriptions | 6 Comments »

Are they any good?

I read Australian Tennis Magazine. It’s a monthly magazine which you can subscribe to here:

https://www.tennismag.com.au/orders.htm

But to check out more about the magazine you can go to its main page at:

http://www.tennismag.com.au/

It’s got heaps of feature articles, editorials, posters, DIY coaching, rankings and tournament results from the last month. Although it’s Australian based, it does ship all over the world, and contains a section devoted solely to Asian tennis. It’s a good read.

I also buy the Australian Open Official Magazine every year, which is usually available through December and January. It’s got heaps of player profiles of the big guns playing at the Australian Open, aswell as a few feature articles and information about the AO in general.

Can I redeem my United Mileage Plus miles for magazine subscriptions?

Posted on October 28th, 2009 by admin in magazines subscriptions | 2 Comments »

I have about 20,000 miles sitting around that will expire soon with United Airlines. I know many plans allow members to get magazine subscriptions in exchange for their miles. Does United do this? I know they used to, but can’t seem to find anything besides WSJ subscriptions now… Thanks!

You used to be able to do this. Now it seems to be newspaper subscriptions. You can get dining certificates for your miles. The Mileage Plus awards are shown here: http://www.united.com/page/genericpage/1,,53171,00.html

What magazines accept story submissions to be published?

I’m wanting to publish one of my paranormal romance stories in a magazine, but I’m not sure what magazines to look at.Does anyone know a good magazine to send a submission to?

Check the Duotrope Digest for short story markets: http://www.duotrope.com/

Also, for short or novella length paranormal romance, I suggest looking into a legitimate e-publisher such as Samhain Publishing, Ellora’s Cave, LooseId or others.
